TYPICAL DISHES.

Rice mariner: this dish contains shells, shrimp, squid and crab, with variations of octopus, clam and freshwater shrimp, seasoned with cumin, pepper, garlic, achiote and onions. It is served with fried plantains and lemon.

Ceviche: One of the main Ecuadorian food dishes. There are shrimp, conch, squid, octopus, fish or mixed lobster there. It is a dish best served cold, with a dollop of lemon, banana chips (fried plantain, cut into thin slices)

Fish casserole: It consists of shrimp, octopus, fish, squid, mussels, bananas, peanuts, cilantro, onion, pepper, tomato, garlic, cumin, achiote, salt, lemon juice and pepper always present.
